Nadine Sekerez | Singer Songwriter
Jenny is out now!
Nadine resides in Lyons, Colorado, a hub for bluegrass and home to many talented musicians, and recording studios. She grew up in Indiana near Chicago, in a family where making music was always valued.
Influenced by artists like Tracy Chapman, Joan Osborne, and Fiona Apple, she eventually taught herself guitar so she could perform solo and accompany her own songs. The bluegrass scene heavily influenced her writing, and she co-founded the band, Lost Penny for which she writes original, harmony-focused, bluegrass influenced Americana music.
She is currently working on an album titled Build a Story.
Jenny is the first single to be released on that album.
Jenny

Jenny woke up and she realized she never made a choice one day in her life
Somebody always there to roll the dice in her life, in her life
Jenny always tried to hitch a ride with anybody who could make her fly
To the moon and outside in her mind
Whichever way the wind blows, got her looking out those windows
Whichever way the wind blows in her life, she's bound to follow
Whichever way the wind blows, gotta look out those windows
For whichever way the wind blows in her life
Ooh
Jenny never thought she had the right
To make her own flow and future bright
She let it all go to the other side
Of her mind, Of her mind
Jenny never knew what it was like
To write her own song and make it right
To pick her own road and let it ride
In her mind, in her mind
Whichever way the wind blows, got her looking out those windows
For whichever way the wind blows in her life, she's bound to follow
Whichever way the wind blows, got her looking out those windows
For whichever way the wind blows in her life
In her life
One day Jenny realized she never took the blame one day in her life
For whichever way the wind blows in her flight
In her flight
She started looking out the window
She packed up her bags and walked out the door
Headed down the road looking for her life
For her life
Whichever way the wind blows, got her looking out those windows
Whichever way the wind blows in her life, she's bound to follow
Whichever way the wind blows, got her looking out those windows
Whichever way the wind blows in her life, she's bound to follow
Whichever way the wind blows, gotta look out those doors
Whichever way the wind blows in her life
In her life
The Giving Tree
For Andy Clark. Andy, I never wanted to write this song.

I see you in the doorway, guitar in your hand
Looking for another soul
To give them everything you can
You sit down on the bench
Shining brighter than the sun
Did you know that's how he saw you
Each and every one
Did you know that's how he saw you
Each and every one
Come on brother, what did you do
Someone, please tell me
Cause it couldn't be true
I looked for you the other day
I looked for you today
I will look for you tomorrow
And all the other days
I will look for you tomorrow
Wish you'd found a better way
I see you at your truck
What did you bring
Some other treasure, some old-timey thing
I came here in the morning
By afternoon it changed
Was that how you felt
Playing the Shapeshifter game
Was that how you felt
Playing the Shapeshifter game
Come on brother, what did you do
Someone, please tell me
Cause it couldn't be true
I looked for you the other day
I looked for you today
I will look for you tomorrow
And all the other days
I will look for you tomorrow
Wish you'd found a better way
I see you in the sunshine
Stalk of wheat in your hand
Introduce me to the farmer
Connect the bread to the land
If we connect the dots
Draw a line from you to me
And from you to everyone you touch
You made a living tree
From everyone you touch
You made a giving tree
Come on brother, I'll tell you the truth
We all can come together
Talk about the you we knew
We remember you the other day
We remember you today
We'll think about you all the days
For all your giving ways
We will think about you all the days
For all your giving ways
